Mark Zielke officially launches mayoral campaign; aims to move Lighthouse, bus mall

A self-described “advocate for justice” and entrepreneur, Mark Zielke officially launched his mayoral campaign, vowing to improve downtown and help the vulnerable. Among his goals is to move the Lighthouse and bus mall.

Zielke previously ran for Ward 2 in the 2016 civic election, finishing third. He has previously criticized city council for high property tax increases and Clark and current council for “inaction” and imposing punitive fees for businesses, including pot shops.

Zielke continues to allegedly accept money as an “advocate for justice”, despite a judge telling him not to, according to Global News.
